Mosquito
Tips
1.
Apply a good repellent. In affected areas, make
sure you re-apply repellent frequently. This is mainly important
at dawn or dusk for midges and also mosquitoes, although
some mosquito species are active during the daytime as well.
2. Use mosquito nets over your bed in the evening and throughout
the night to keep the mosquitoes from being able to get
to you to bite while you sleep.
3. Use plug in coils to help minimise the number
of mosquitoes in the evening and therefore the risk of mosquitoes
biting.
4. Close windows and doors. Remember that
biting insects can enter the smallest opening, particularly
if attracted through by light, heat and smells. Make sure
that windows and doors are firmly closed or, if camping,
keep your tent firmly zipped up at night.
| 5.
Avoid swamp/damp areas where there may be stagnant water
as these are breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
